Ivan Moisieiev
Pianist & Korrepetitor

Ivan Moisieiev is a pianist, répétiteur, and piano educator with extensive experience in accompaniment, teaching, and performance. A musician with heart and soul, he has dedicated himself to the piano for over 30 years, exploring the instrument in many different artistic and pedagogical contexts.

He first studied solo piano at the Kharkiv National University of Arts in Ukraine, in the class of Natalia Sutulova, where he also completed his concert exams. He later moved to Germany, where he continued his studies in Lied Interpretation with Prof. Peter Nelson at the State University of Music Trossingen, completing his Master’s degree with distinction as well as concert exams in Piano and Lied Interpretation.

Ivan is a prizewinner of several international competitions, including the My World Art Prize in Moscow, the Nadezhda Obukhova Prize in Feodosia, Ukraine, and the New Names competition in Kyiv. Alongside his artistic training, he has worked extensively as a piano teacher and répétiteur for singers, building a broad and richly varied musical practice.

In September 2025, he founded Trio Alea together with soprano Ayşe Yakut Somer and mezzo-soprano Olivia Peschke. The ensemble focuses on bringing well-known works together with lesser-known pieces to the stage, offering audiences an accessible yet artistically ambitious programme. The trio has recently received funding from the Deutsch-Französische Kulturstiftung for an upcoming concert at the Centre Français de Berlin.

This production marks Ivan’s first collaboration with Musik für Musik. In addition to his regular role as pianist, he will also appear as a character within the performance — an unusual and exciting departure from his usual work on stage.
